Conquering Giants

Malcolm Gladwell, Author

One of my favorite authors is Malcom Gladwell perhaps because, rather than reading his books, I listen to them. He is one of the few authors who actually narrates his own audiobooks giving the listener a chance to create a relationship with him as opposed to just the book. Communication is done 7% through words and 38% through tone with comes through so clearly when the author, himself, reads out loud. This is just one of the reasons I’ve enjoyed so many of his books including Outliers, The Tipping Point, Blink and his newest addition, David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants.

The story of David and Goliath is the go to when describing the conquering underdog in any situation. According to Malcolm Gladwell’s recent book, there are a few details left out of the original story which might explain how David was able to take on someone twice his size without looking back. David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants dissects this story uncovering the power that the little guy really has. Below you’ll find a video that gives you just a taste of what to expect when diving into this book.
