Floor plans can be hard to come by sometimes, and expensive to produce if you don’t have them but as a realtor, it’s a nice bonus to be able to show a potential client the layout of a home. They can also be rather helpful when staging a home or for your client as they try to make plans to move into their newly purchased home.
Well today, we’re showing you an easy way to make floor plans with your iPhone. That’s right, no tape measure, pencil or graph paper needed. Today’s app, RoomScan, does the work for you all by itself. All you have to do is touch your phone to each wall in the room you’d like to plan out. You can even get floor plans done for odd shaped rooms without any problem. It’s super easy and takes less than 5 minutes per room. Just watch the below demo for proof:
If you’re only interested in producing one room floor plans, the free version of RoomScan is the perfect fit for you. If you’re looking for more than that, you can upgrade to the Pro version for only $4.99. The Pro version allows you to scan multiple rooms and stitch them together creating one whole floor plan. You’ll also be able to add doors as you move through the house rather than having to drag and drop them after the fact to the finished plan as you would in the standard version.
Both versions allow you to save your plans to review at a later time or email them to your client so they can start planning their move. Now that sounds like $4.99 well spent.
